This exhibition deals with an outstanding selection of art magazines and artists between the 70s and 90s in Spain. For this sample, two aspects were highlighted: typography and the magazine as an object. Using the base of the letterset an image is constructed that reminds us of the basic graphic resources of the design of the time. The manual construction that transforms a flat piece into an object, and the basic printing inks are the other elements with which the museography, the graphic exhibition, the image of the exhibition and its diffusion have been established. Based on various examples of exposed journals, their format is disproportionate and adapts to existing display cases, turning the container of some of these examples into large museum objects.

This exhibition is part of the collaboration with the module "Criticism and dissemination of art" coordinated by Jaume Vidal in the official Master in Analysis and management of the artistic heritage of the UAB. This collaboration consists of a series of sessions of museology and basic museology that are taught around an exhibition project.
Together with the students, the various stages that make up an exhibition are constructed, both in terms of how to treat the contents, how to accommodate them and make them visible and intelligible in space, as well as how to elaborate the exhibition image, graphic design and strategies of diffusion. |
